I was just browsing the reader and your sketches popped up :-) i love your sketches, may i ask what tools u use?
I will follow your blog for updates :-)
Hi Tim, thanks! –that’s good to hear. I use a drawing pen that has a nib at one end, and a brush at the other. Alcohol based markers, and a sketch-book that opens flat so I can draw across the page. Drawings are scanned and made ready for print in Photoshop on a base model iMac. Thanks for following, I’ll check out your stuff. Best, Russell.

Such a wealth of time-specific cultural detail (and great technique) in a single sketch.
Wow! Thanks Costas, much appreciated. Russell
She’s terrific. So absorbed and cut off :D
Thanks Rosie. Yes–new technology is great for sketch artists like us; we can go about our business largely unnoticed. Russell.
It’s brilliant, they have no idea!
This one’s Bold & Beautiful! I love how you capture the person’s mood in all your drawings. ~ Radhika
Thanks Radhika, good to hear from you. Russell.
Wow – I love this one.
Thanks Maria!
You put my sketching attempts to shame……..!!
Raye
Thanks Raye but I know your sketches are far from shameful, Russell.
Love it!
Thanks Mary!
