  1. So many stories rise from this — so many ways to interpret this wonderful work. Just read your reply above about the lady leaving a cafe. How you captured her in that moment amazes me; you’ve created a universal kind of image. Before knowing the truth I thought I saw something entirely different, a poignant story of departure and [possibly] sadness. The viewer can see many stories here, I think, because of how you’ve hinted at the possibilities. I don’t know how you did that in exactly, but Iim glad you did. thank you for sharing this! :)

    • Thanks Rosa—didn’t think I’d have enough time to draw the pattern on this lady’s coat as she got up to leave the café, but (lucky for me) the zip must have stuck and I managed to complete the sketch. Hope you’re doing great, Russell.
